# Which unified workspace platforms are rated highest for keeping hybrid teams productive when people are working across different locations and time zones?

Hi G2 community! I am looking for Unified Workspaces that actually hold up across time zones, where async and real-time need to coexist, and collaboration means people contributing at different hours without losing context.

  1. Slack: Slack's async design is specifically credited for supporting both real-time and asynchronous work, making it easier for teams to stay aligned regardless of where or when they work. Threaded conversations keep side discussions from burying the main channel, and the searchable history means someone joining a conversation eight hours later can reconstruct what happened without requiring a synchronous handoff. 
  2. ClickUp: Async task management is ClickUp's core strength for distributed teams. Tasks, comments, status updates, and documentation all leave a traceable asynchronous record that team members in any time zone can pick up without a real-time sync. Multiple view options (List, Board, Gantt, Calendar) mean each team member can visualize work in the format that matches their role, regardless of time zone overlap. AI Agents provide automated reporting and summaries that reduce the synchronous standup requirement for globally distributed teams. 
  3.
